Asha Bhvan Mar Thoma Care Centre, Pidavoor, Pathanapuram is an institution for physically challenged children. The international disability year, 1981 inspired the Mar Thoma Church of Pathanapuram Centre to serve the physically challenged people which led the formation of Mar Thoma Care Centre at Pidavoor. Initially it was only a center which provides the programs like book binding that helps the disabled people to lead a self-sufficient life. Later in the year of 1990 it took new form and shape for the holistic development of the physically challenged children through the establishment of Asha Bhavan. It is established with an insight of integral growth and development of physically challenged children from poor socio economic backgrounds. The main objective of this Home of Hope is to identify and develop talents to generate creativity by providing free accommodation, food, education, spiritual enrichment and medical care irrespective of religion, caste and creed.
Asha Bhavan provides :-
* Unique plans and projects for the personal development and recreation
* Physio therapy and speech therapy
* Vocational training for Computer(DCA), Fashion Designing, Paper bag making etc. for the differently abled.
** Asha Bhavan have a retreat centre with an seating capacity of 350 people which consists of full fledged conference halls, accomodation facilities etc. which is useful to conduct camps, seminars, events etc.
Asha Bhavan Mar Thoma Care Center is an outcome of God's mercy through the Church in the form of love and providence that treat everyone equally.
